DNG and photoshop
Hello,
This is probably very simple, but...
When I save a file as a .dng and want to open it in photoshop all the work I made in Capture one disappears. Photoshops rawconverter treats the file as unedited. Is it possible to turn the raw-converter in photshop off?
Uhhh, ok maybe this is a photoshop question but...

If I save it as a tiff instead. Will that give me equal results in a dogde and burn process? 0 -
Regarding your first post in this thread: CO6 can export to DNG raw, but without adjustments. Because it is still raw, Photoshop will open it with its camera raw plug-in.
Regarding your second post, for dodge and burn you'd better export with CO6 to tiff, as you assumed and finish the job with Photoshop.0 -
Keep in mind too that the reason edits to DNG could not show up in Photoshop anyway is because the adjustments that Adobe stores inside a DNG are not some universal adjustment. They are proprietary adobe ACR adjustments and only compatible with Adobe products. 0
