Copy Color-marking
Hello you guys,
we use in our studio capture one 6.2.2 and we got one problem with it. If we mark a picture with a color and try to copy the settings of the picture, capture one always throws the setting for the color-marking out.
I hope someone can help me 😊

Thats the way is should be IMO. Copying adjustments should be independent from ratings.
Copying settings should be just that, settings. I sometimes copy settings to images that don't make final selects so why should the "possibles" have the same "Green for go" rating as every image I copy adjustments to.
IMO you should copy the settings to your images and then set up keyboard shortcuts to rate the images. C1 used to apply everything (including ratings) and people complained so it was changed to how it is now. For me, as a studio photographer, I shoot an image, rate the final best capture then moved on to the next image. The way you are requesting is how C1 used to work, I'd move onto the next setup using all the settings from the last capture and the rating would carry over even though they were not final finished shots. It became very annoying untagging captures.0 -
Thank you for your answer.
But is there still a way that the color marking keeps in the setting. Because we choose the final pictures after the shoot and it would be helpful if the color marking keeps in the settings.
And there is another problem. It happend once, that I copied the trapezium correction and capture added a higher value. For example: The original had a value of 3,12 and the picture i copied the value on to had 3,15.
Thanks for your help 😊0 -
In the adjustments tab untick "autoselect adjusted" then "select none", then under rating tick "color" then copy/apply it to the other images (make sure "edit all selected images is on") I wish there was a quicker way to do this. In C1 3.7 there was an preference "operate tool on all selected images". I wish they'd bring this back as the new way is time consuming and complicated. 0 -
To get the colour rating to copy to every image you apply your adjustments to, first copy the adjustments to the adjustment clipboard then in the adjustment clipboard tab check "colour tag" in the metadata section.
Every time you now apply those clipboard settings to additional images with a keyboard shortcut, the toolbar icon or adjustment clipboard tab "apply" button the colour tag will be applied also.0 -
Ah, thats quicker way than mine, nice 0 -
Thank you Garreth, your way works perfect 😊
