Focus difference in 6 vs. 7 engine

Hello all,

I opened a job in 6 & in 7 and there is a substantial way the focus looks. The 7 engine seems to make the sharpening (5d mk 3) look more chunky when compared to the smooth gradations in areas such as hair in 6.

Anyone else experience this?

  Turn the Details (in the focus tab) tool to 0.

  I do not see the details that you speak of.
  
  If you have an opportunity check out the difference between the two engines (open a session from 6) in 7 without changing the engine then convert the engine to 7.

  Hi Shawn,
  
  Its in Noise Reduction Advanced.
  
  You might have to play with the Noise Reduction, NR ADvanced and Sharpness settings to get the look you like.
  
  We have tried to make the conversion from a 6 engine image to a 7 engine image as close as possible but some personal preference maybe required.

  The details setting in Advanced NR makes quite a difference. By default (Details = 50) V7 is not really close to V6. Then again you are right: simply adjust the Details default to meet your personal taste and everything is fine.
