7.2.3 crashed roughly a dozen times on various operations. I am going back to 7.2.2. I highly recommend that others avoid 7.2.3 as it is VERY UNSTABLE! PhaseOne should remove it from their site to prevent others from going through the same frustrating experience.

7.2.3 crashed also when making a new project within the referenced catalogue. MPB late 2013 with latest OSX and with OpenCL=On. After turning OpenCL off it C1 crashed again and now does not even start anymore. after reinstallation 7.2.3 still the same.
    going back to 7.2.2, frustrated.

If anyone is having issues with 7.2.3 please create a support case.
At present we have had a few, but none are universal errors to the software and rather just coincidental conflicts that we are happy to help resolve.

Has crashed about 6 times this afternoon upon importing from both memory card and from folder within my Mac. 7.2.2 was a very stable version but this is simply not acceptable.

Well, then something clearly is amiss. Create a support case and we'll find you a solution. If 7.2.3 were crashing for all users, it wouldn't be a suggested update and it's currently working fine for 99.9% of users.

One official US dealer recommends this:
For general-purpose users we suggest Capture One 7.2 that has been released for a sufficiently long enough period with positive results regarding stability and speed that we can recommend it to our clients. Download 7.2 here.

From their website July 15th. But they also say 7.2.3 is "Tested and Approved" Yet don't recommend it.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the OFFICIAL suggestion of Phase One would be to create a support case and allow us to help.

I have been having the same problem but only on importing files.

Then we'd be happy to have a support case from you to investigate.

    Hi,

I am often unhappy with the bugs in Capture One 😉. Still, I can really recommend everyone to always create a ticket at Phase One.

    That's our website:
    http://www.digitaltransitions.com/blog/ ... -one-7-2-3

The original post was on July 7th. We prefer to provide a period of insulation after initial release before we recommend our customer base upgrade. I'd consider this an example of an abundance of caution.

The post was then updated on July 14th to include:
    **Update**
We have been internally testing Capture One 7.2.3 and now feel that it is ready for use. We still recommend testing before using on an active shoot. Additionally, we recommend a clean uninstall of the previous version before installing Capture One 7.2.3.

Due to your confusion I have added "on July 14, 2014" next to the word "**Update**".
