Tested 4.0.1 and still the same constraints
OK, 4.0.1 may solve some issues for some of you but my main complaints on 4.0 have not been addressed (or I still don't understand it)!
a) Cache folders in the directory of the pictures to be edited
We all don't like this!!!!!!! Either DELETE THEM on exit (this could be an option)
or, preferable, have a central cache folder implemented (I want to work also on external/USB/network shares and do not want that cache is there, it should be on my local drive!)
b) Copy/Paste of AutoAdjust do not work
If I AutoAdjust Exposure or High Dynamic Range the setting copy the final adjustment but not the fact that I did AutoAdjust!
If I copy Adjustments from one picture where I did AutoAdjust it should also use AutoAdjust on the picture where I paste the settings to!
c) How can I save Adjustments/Presets?
http://www.phaseone.com/upload/101article.pdf clearly states that I can save a preset. I did NOT fiind any menue where I could do that. I can ONLY copy & Paste!!!
If you know how to solve this let me know, otherwise let them know if you have same problems!

I forgot to mention one additional big drawback:
You cannot set the output directory to be the same or a relative path from the input directory!
I like to have my JPEG's always created in a subdirectory of the folder where the RAW is! I do not want to change the output folder each time I process files from a different folder/session!!!!0 -
Yeah, I hate the cache the way it is......I have fast (but small) spindles in my machine, but my larger storage is out on USB (and network). [quote="fscherz" wrote:

I agree. No really worthwhile changes in this update other than to add some additional camera support. Once agan, PO turned a deaf ear to it's user base. 0 -

It’s absolutely amazing to me how a company can be so obviously arrogant. And I thought Microsoft was bad. PO takes the cake. It’s clearly obvious that they don't give a darn about their customer base, they're just plod forward with their plan regardless of want the customer wants. It’s extremely disappointing.
Personally I feel ripped off. I bought a semi professional product and now I'm left with a POS toy that frankly doesn't produce decent images and in the process leaves a huge mess behind. And now I'm left with NO support and an arrogant thumb of the nose.
Bad Form PO simply bad form.
Please do what’s right to keep you current customer base and at least add the new camera profiles to 3.7.7 LE. I’m sure we’ll all happily move over to 4.x once its up to par with 3.7.7 but if you don’t do this you leave us with no other alternative but to find other software. Pretty stupid and short sighted business decision on your part if you ask me.

To be fair, version4 was only released recently. I really wasn't expecting much more than a bug fix. The new cameras were a pleasant surprise, especially since I have the G9. Now if only they would make the profiles sticky...0 -

Has anyone solved this? I annoys the crap out of me having all those subfolders created in my data folders - sort of leaves the place untidy. 3.7 had the option of cleaning out the cache folders on exit etc. but I could not find this in V4.
It's almost like V4 is a light LE? Where has all the operability gone?
What does the group feel - can one safely zap the cache folders after finishing a processing job?0 -

We've been nagging about it for many months now!0 -
I need to figure out how to see the thumbnails so they look like the output. If I set the edit to see the image properly, after I process the RAW the image is way over exposed.
If I leave the image as it appears in the editor, the histrogram is correct and the output looks good, but the image in the editor is so dark I can hardly see it.
I keep looking at the help but I haven't found an answer.
Does anyone have any answers?0 -

You can safely deleted the preview (.cop) files; they will automatically be re-generated if necessary. No information is lost.0 -

I don't think it should work this way.
If I copy settings from one image to another, I would assume that exactly the same settings are applied.
How should this be handled if I AutoAdjust an image, and weeks later copy the settings of this image to another? What if I don't remember that I did AutoAdjust? I will be pretty freaked out that CO does some inexplicable stuff and doesn't copy the settings!
The way it is now, I can copy the exact settings to another image, or do autoadjust on the other image by pressing Ctrl+F just as fast. If it was changed the way you suggest, you would be left out of the possibility to copy the exact settings.0 -
Hello
Try to select those images You want to auto adjust
Try shift-ctrl-F
Now You have autoadjust everyone byt not WB
Do this as Your first action
Then You may change a single control and copy / past just that.
