7.1.4 Not Launching
I tried updating to 7.1.4 today on my Macbook Pro. Unfortunately, it never launches. I get lots of icon bouncing, and then it just stops. Luckily I still have 7.1.3 around. Funny - I was updating to try to fix the bug of flagged/rated images all of a sudden losing their ratings when you navigate between images. Looks like I found a new bug.
Looking in the log file, this is the beginning of each crash that happens.
Any ideas? I can force quit 7.1.4 and immediately launch 7.1.3 without restarting.

The crash looks OS related (you are using 10.7.3?!) and the file path reported by core services looks odd. This though is truncated so other than the above I can't tell you much.
Suggest you make a support case.0 -
I would download 7.1.5 before raising the support case, its better to work with the latest version even if it has the same issue. 0 -
Ok I think I figured this out. It looks like 7.1.5 (and perhaps 7.1.4) require OS 10.7.5 (not 10.7.4, as I was using with 7.1.3). So it looks like the requirements changed somewhere in there, which is interesting, cause CO is still listed as also working with 10.6.8.
So I guess you can use it with some versions of 10.6, and some versions of 10.7 😊

More than likely what you discovered was a permissions discrepancy. By updating your OS it also repaired your permissions. 0 -

You might be right. But then, why would 7.1.3 continue to run fine as soon as force quit 7.1.4/5? Interesting!
BTW I wanted to say thank you to all for offering your input on this - I forgot to do that earlier!
