Auto Adjust Exposure Not Working As Expected
Hello,
I've just noticed that when using the Auto Adjustment within the exposure box only the Exposure itself is being altered and not the Contrast, Brightness and Saturation.
I seem to recall that all four sliders would be 'connected' to te Auto Exposure?
Is it only me or are you having the same 'problem', if you can describe it as that?
Regards

I noticed that a while ago but didn't think much of it since I use the configurable big "A" button or 'Ctrl + L' shortcut. 0 -
That's what I'm refering to; neither clicking on 'A' or using CTRL + L adjusts anything except for the Exposure slider. 0 -
Press and hold the big A, is 'Contrast and Brightness' selected as one of the items that will be auto adjusted? 0 -
How do you 'select' which sliders will adjust?
I always recall that wehn clicking on the 'A' for auto adjust that 'all' of the sliders moved (if they needed to that is).
Within any of the other adjustment sections clicking on the 'Auto Adjust' feature moves everything within the section.0 -
When you press and hold the big 'A' a dropdown menu should appear with a list of items: White balance, Exposure, Contrast and Brightness, High Dynamic Range, Levels, Rotation, Keystone. If there is a check mark next to the item it will be adjusted when you press auto adjust.
Alternatively you can go to the Adjustments > Auto Adjustments menu and change your settings there as well.0 -
If I do what cdc said about selecting which attributes are affected by the A tool, and make sure I have contrast and brightness included, then
(a) on clicking the small A button on the Exposure tool, it just affects the exposure and nothing else, but
(b) on clicking the large A button on the toolbar, it adjusts brightness and contrast as well.

I'd never noticed the large A on the top of the toolbar before (must change these glasses).
Thank you... 😉0 -

It used to be over on the right (assuming your version of those toolbars included it.)
Right click the Icon to access and change the list of included attributes. (Windows).

Grant,
I know that now (spoken whilst feeling an idiot) 😔
Shows how much notice I take...0
