C1 6 PRO—NOT READY FOR PRIMETIME [Again]
first off i'm a professional shooting canon and phaseone p65. [and am totally annoyed at the moment and decided to post]
unfortunately true to form there are some improvements in the new version...and some things that are totally broken as well...in its current state i'm finding the new version, which i paid for, totally unusable and have reinstalled 5.1.2 until things get sorted.
system: OS X 10.6.5, quad-core intel, 18GB ram.
[no previous issues of any kind running latest 5.0 build of capture one pro]
currently testing with a tethered 1Ds MKIII
short list—
-- major weird video disturbance issues that eventually lead to a forced restart. OS X UI gets completely bugged up with images mapping all over the place rendering the computer utterly unusuable ...
initially it seemed this was related to running C1 6 concurrent with PS CS5...but then i had this "video" crash running
only capture one.
-- auto-selecting next capture when tethered DOES NOT WORK [this has been an issue in the past related to "new" versions of the software]
-- next capture naming seems to be off by one digit when setting the starting number manually [what?]
-- capture adjustments "copy from last capture" totally ignored DOES NOT WORK. additionally all incoming captures had 0.65 stops added and 6 contrast??? buggy.
-- program is laggy compared to C5. adjustments don't happen "live" but are delayed a bit.
i suppose it's possible that all this could be related to canon tethering....but that's really phaseone's job to sort in my view...
i'll test with the p65 and see.

For video and performance problems set openCL to "never" in CO 6 Pro setting, the difference for me is amazing.

Regarding tethered auto selection and may be also next capture adjustments, try selecting the "Capture Folder" in the "Session Folders" section of the library tool instead of the "System Folders". If this was your problem rest assured that it will be fixed asap. 0
