I like to keep the anything in the settings folder in case I need to reprocess. Fortunately the files are relatively small. You don't need to keep the large files in the Proxies as they are previews that the program will re-create as needed. Of course you should keep the original Raw files of the ones you may want to reprocess.

Deleting from within CO should move the raw file along with the associated proxies and settings (but it doesn't always happen!) to the Trash folder. The Trash can then be emptied to permanently delete everything.

    Hy Coach,

I keep all of my Raw-Files, but after the first import I made a selction an the deselected Raws are deleted permanently. In proxies I can still see the files of these Raws, so my Sessions are bigger than necessary.
Always check these folders and manually delete these files is not usable. Is there no other way "IN" C1? Maybe a function "cleanup" or so. This function could keep just the files for pictures which are still existing and delete all other files.

When you delete your raw files from within Capture One, the program should also delete any related file like settings and proxies.

In case your proxies/settings files are out of sync with the raw files in their parent folder, you could move the images to another folder (Selects for example), clean the remaining proxies/settings and move the images back.
