    Some answers:
    - Preferences in CO4/Win can be found in the Edit menu (the manual refers to the Mac version)
    - Camera file number: should remain unchanged with either the latest CO 3.7.x and CO4. In CO4 go to the Output tool tab, Output Naming section and change the Format into Image Name
    - Auto rotate is a setting in your camera and both CO3 and 4 read the orientation bit in the image and display the image accordingly. I am not aware of an auto rotate option in CO but I have not used v1.3 for a long time...
    - Sessions: no session yet in CO4; is expected in the CO4 Pro release

Hope this helps and keep asking. Good luck.

In versions up to 3.7.4 there was a button in preferences to force the image to either + 90 degrees or - 90 degrees....I always hated setting the camera to autorotate...couldnt see the vertical image on my small lcd on the origional 1ds..I'm not even sure that the origional 1ds has this feature...been so many years since I've had it....If c1 ver 4 doesnt have the session button Im not sure that I can use the program that Ive waited 3 + years for...Heres my workflow...I do a lot of national Dog shows...with ver 1.3 I could set a capture file such as the name of the show then within that file I could make sessions that courisponded to the clients name such as jones, smith, roberts or....I could take the images... they could put their dog back in the crate... then come back and view the images which I could easely find cuz I'd just go to their file...I could never get any version past 1.3 to use the camera image number...If I set a new session they would all start numbering with the clients name + 002,003, 004 then when I got home and dropped the name out of the file I'd have 40 or 50 files with images numbers 002,003....I have to drop the name out of the file cuz I want the lab to print them as shot and not alphabetically...so is their any way to get ver 4.1.1 to use this workflow or am I going to have to wait another coupe of years till the pro version comes out...and speaking of the pro version...I origionally purchased the pro version with ver 1.0 is pro ver 4 included in my upgrades????

Are you working tethered (because of the file renaming and because CO 4.1.1 does not work tethered with DSLRs but with Phase One data backs only)?

If you originally purchased the Pro version at 1.0, version 4.0 should be the FIRST of your TWO free upgrades. But don't take my word for it but ask Phase One in a support case. Better yet, login to their web site and view your options in the License Management page.

Since sessions are not supported yet in CO4.x, I doubt if you can have the same kind of workflow. I am not experienced with sessions, maybe another user can jump in.

    Pauls,

To Clarify, each Pro license does contain 2 free upgrades... However for version 1 keys, the first upgrade was Capture One Pro 3.x.x and the second is 4.x. (there was no version 2).

There are some version 1 keys that do not have the correct number of upgrades, so please if you have trouble activating, create a support case and we'll get you all sorted out.

Its really hard for me to believe that ver 4 doesnt work tethered.....I do 95% of my shooting tethered.....Is the pro ver going to work tethered???? I cant believe I've waited 3+ years for an upgrade that does not work tethered.

    Thanks Jon for clarifying that.
