Database repair tool?
Unfortunately I imported some catalogs with tiff files from my scanner. This crashes Capture One Express so hard it destroys the database. Trying to restart it using the same database results in another crash. It also says all my imported catalogs are empty. This is a great PITA!
If it cannot handle the TIFF images, they should NOT be imported by the program.
I have spent several hours today importing images from earlier years, and now I managed to import a catalog that contains tiff images. Poof! There goes my database down the drain. Since I haven't ended the program during this import session, I haven't got any recent backup of the database.
How am I supposed to handle this?
I just bought two licences for my three computers. Had to buy one i my wifes name to be able to install on my three computers. No I am quite angry because of the lousy programming that allows the program to barf on tiff files and destroy the database, and there is no repair tool available.

Please start Capture One with the alt key held down. This will display a list of old documents and will let you create a new database session. Select a session.
Now go to File -> Check Document -> navigate the folder.
Let it run through it's step.
If you get any non-repairable please do not hesitate to create a support-case and Support will help you out.0
