Workflow- Which color space to choose?
This is a quote from Niels V. Knudsen blog post.
The Color Readout values in Capture One Pro 6 depend on how the Proof Profile is set up. By default, it is set to use the ICC profile from the selected Output recipe. In the example above, I worked in sRGB as I was preparing the image for online use. An important thing to note when setting up the Proof Profile is that it makes a difference whether you use sRGB or Adobe 1998, as the values change from one to the other.
For the majority of my clients I prepare images to be printed which are initially viewed in an online gallery that uses only sRGB profile. If I work in sRGB for web viewing I have to then prepare a second file in Adobe RGB for print. This is a tremendous amount of work. So I work in Adobe RGB and then convert to sRGB prior to uploading in a web res copy. Is this the best way to maintain "best color" to work in and print and then to show online?
thx,
