I've only had 1 or 2 cases with customers reporting trouble with Capture One performance while on one of these "Homebrew" systems, but don't know how many people use them out there and everything is trouble free. Ultimately I wouldn't recommend it as if issues do arrise, we won't have the resources to support such a system and you'll unfortunately be on your own.

Providing the Hackintosh natively supports the interfaces required by CP then I cant see any reason why it shouldnt work.
However there are no guarantees in that area.

C1 works without incident on my Hackintosh for months. I used the Kakewalk installer and used Kakewalk's recommended motherboard and video card. Installation was easy and the system fully worked from the beginning. Tethered shooting works with C1 too. Good luck with your efforts.

Been using C1 pro on a hackintosh for almost 3 years (on 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8 versions), without any issue related to the "hack" part of it.

Running 10.7.4 on a hackintosh with the following specs:

    i5 760 (iirc) @ 3.2ghz
    8GB ram
    MSI 560ti

no problems whatsoever, redraws faster than most of the towers I end up with on jobs.

Did you build thru Tonymac86's Unibeast or thru Kakewalk?
