Crashes when I click on the color icon
Hello Everybody!
I've found that Capture One crashes every time I click on the color icon - is anybody else seeing this?
It's Capture One 7 on Windows 7 and a mystery.

A few more details would be helpful.
Also, I would suggest you get Log files to a tech supporter as well as any crash reports.

Drew, I've already sent in the log files.
As for details, I don't know how to describe the situation in any more detail; I click on the icon and the program crashes. That is it exactly.0 -
It would be extremely helpful for us, as well as yourself, if you could create a support case and provide the Log files and System profile. I have no support case history for your current account, and thus no log files (perhaps you are confusing Log files with automatic crash reports).

Hi Drew:
The Case ID is 129450 and was created on the 6th of August.
I have uploaded the following files:
BrianYarvinsystem.nfo
Application.log
CaptureCore.log
CaptureProcess.log
ImgCore.log
ImgCoreExternal.log
ImgCoreOCL.log
Please get back to me if something about this is incorrect.
Yes...I've submitted eight automatic crash reports too.
I posted here to see if other users or dealers knew about a patch. Somebody still may have an answer. Phase One users are generally a pretty talented group of people.0 -
Hi, perhaps your problem has anything to do with mine? Look at this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=47&t=15039
In the meantime I went back to 7.1.2 an everything works fine exept that the speed performance of 7.1.3 seems to be a little better. Also want to send my logs in the next days...0 -
Laruss:
It sounds a bit similar. Phase One is now telling me that it's my AMD processor. What sort of hardware are you using?0 -
oha, an AMD FX-6100 6-core processor 😕 Perhaps some special intel-accelerating commands disturb now our exotic hardware?? 😂 NO, that´s just a conjecture, nothing else.
Did you try 7.1.2 also? If not, you can download it from the phaseone site. 💡0 -
You're having problems with AMD and Capture One too? Is that so?
I'm going to try the downgrade next week when I'm back at the task of imaging. Thanks for the info.0 -
Otherwise I can´t imagine that we´re the only one with amd hardware?! Perhapts anything other causes the problems, or anything further in combination...?
Please report whether your downgrade is working.
Thx and bye0 -
Yes indeed, the downgrade solved the problem. It's all working perfectly for now. 0 -
I am sure there is a correlation between our problems. And I am sure PO has in on its agenda!? Let´s wait for 7.1.4.! 😎 0 -
I'm afraid I have to chime in here and add to this chorus. While C1 crashes, its not always for the same reasons listed here. On occasion have C1 crash when trying to apply colour tag to an image - say yellow.
On a recent occasion, tried to click a thumbnail of an image file that was off-line and have C1 die on me. In a previous install, could not see the thumbnails of any image files that store on external drives that were switched off. Doing a new install seems to have fixed that. BUT, have 7.1.3 crashing on nearly every other occasion I use it.
Other than that, have had untold hassles with 7.1.3. I have already performed 3 uninstalls of 7.1.3 - this with help from Phase One. As we all now know, even when the Microsoft unistall app tells me that the Capture One has now been "completely uninstalled", there is no truth in this - we still need to hunt and peck around to remove any remaining remnants of C1 still left over after the uninstall - as in another added frustration with C1.
Tried to downgrade to 7.1.2 and this didn't take. Couldn't get to read my catalogs - which is what I use. Now back on 7.1.3 - which crashes almost every time I try to Capture One. Every time this happens, send along the crash report. As for contacting support, been there and done that and all of this to little avail.
Seems like the best I can hope for here is that 7.1.4 will get to fix these issues.
As a BTW, I'm running Win 7 Pro 64 bit with 8Gb of RAM.
Take care0 -

Hi, I can feel your pain! I must ask if you're running intel or AMD. This seems to be an issue - or maybe the issue.0
