Searching
Just getting to know C1, but guess my familiarity with the way LR, from which I am moving, does things is leading me astray. Basic question: how do I search for images containing a specific keyword?

There are two ways (at least).
(1) You can use the Filters tool. Either look down the list of Keywords in the Filters tool, and click the one you want to show just the images with that keyword. Or type in the keyword in the search box at the top of the Filters tool.
(2) Use the Search box on the toolbar, and type the keyword in there.

Thanks for the reply. I'm just getting star ratings and color tags in the filter tool, no keywords, although i have enabled keywords in the show/hide filters dialog. 0 -

And you definitely have some images with keywords in there? The Filters tool will only show the keywords that exist in the currently selected collection, and not the whole library of keywords.

Yes, for sure. Just checked. 0 -
What happens if you add other options in the Filters, such as camera serial, format, etc?

They don't appear ... I'm picking up on your use of the word 'collection'. Can I not search all the images in my catalog, or, for example, images on a drive which is included in the catalog, but I have to make a collection first? 0 -
You certainly can search all the images in your catalog, as long as you select the All Images collection first.
And if those other Filters don't appear, something is amiss, I'd say. Try contacting Support?

That's it - didn't know I had to hit 'All Images'. All is OK now. Have a coffee on me! 0 -

YOu wold nee to select all Images to search all images (assuming you have more than one folder/album/collection or whatever) but otherwise the filters and searches should work with whatever sub-set you currently have selected - assuming there is some relevant information (Keywords for example) set for the images in the sub-set.
HTH.
