Problems recognizing Canon 500D (Rebel T1i) RAW images

I have updated to Capture One 4.8.2 and it does not recognize RAW .CR2 files from my Canon 500D. I have tried this on two separate systems.

If I navigate to a folder with 500D RAW images in the LIBRARY pane, then it churns for a few second with "Loading..." in the small preview window, then displays "No images in collection".

Is anyone else having this problem? I have tried on two different machines to the same effect. (Files from the same camera).

  500D raw should be recognized by 4.8.2, but Rebel T1i not (yet). See viewtopic.php?p=30900#p30900
