Colour Tint when Using B&W
When I click on 'Enable Black & White" on one of the three machines on which I have C1, I get something like a sepia tone which I don't seem to be able to correct in C1 and have to desaturate in Photoshop. Is there something I am missing in one of the settings ? I don't have any presets or styles applied. The other 2 machines are fine.
It's probably something really simple but it's been bugging me for ages.
Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

I suggest you take a look at the second tab in the B&W tool, Split Tones and set all sliders to zero. 0 -
Paul,
That was about the first thing I did but it doesn't eliminate this colour cast.

MIles,
Is it possible to supply files in your thread?
Is it possible that what your seeing is a result of a Monitor Calibration?
The Black and White tool, unless set otherwise, neutralizes RGB so there is no color.0 -
Drew,
I don't think it is monitor calibration that is at fault. I have dual NEC Spectraview 27" monitors which are quite carefully calibrated. Secondly, when I export the TIFF file from C1 and then de-saturate it in Photoshop it's clearly B&W on screen and in print.
I won't have access to this particular machine for a couple of weeks but on my other main system to which I have transferred my last session C1 session the images are correctly shown as de-saturated.
I am not sure what you'd like me to post in terms of files. I can post the TIF file processed on the problem machine and the TIF file of the same image correctly processed on my other main machine, A hint as to how to attach files would be appreciated.
Whilst I believe that my B&W Tool settings are right is there anywhere else where a setting could cause this to happen.
Many thanks

Miles,
You can reset your workspace to defaults, or reset the tool itself. I would suggest you pack the File as an EIP and then send it to us through a support case but as the issue only seems related to that single computer, I think the issue is related to a peripheral setting and not Capture One.0 -
Drew,
I've now got access again to the affected machine.
I've replaced all the workspaces from the PC which is working correctly. I'm still getting the sepia-ish tone when I enable B&W in the B&W tool. All colours are set to zero and all split tones are set to zero on the Split Tones tab.
However when I take saturation to -100 in the exposure tab I am getting a correct B&W image. That seems to confirm that it is not a monitor calibration issue and that it is a C1 issue (or so it seems to me).
If I do a complete re-install from scratch what do I need to make sure I remove from my system so as to make a completely fresh start (Mac OS) ?0 -
MIles,
Please create a support case and we'll have a closer look.0
