Six "No Entry" signs on preview
Hello Phase One users and supporters,
I have a problem that has occurred before and had quite a simple solution that I cannot find. I have downloaded many raw files onto my 13" MacBookPro, running 10.5.8, but now, at best, the "no entry" signs appear over each preview, at worst the files show themselves briefly, only to disappear when I want to work on them. There is no issue with the files having been damaged as they are still there and easily accessed with other programs. It applies equally to NEF and PhaseOne files.
I'd be grateful if someone recognizes the source of my problem.
Thanks in advance, Andrew

Some questions:
Q1. This "No Entry" sign, do you mean the exclamation mark "!" in a triangle?
Q2. Does it appear on older files that opened properly or can these older files still be opened?
Q3. When you go to the Library tool and have the folder which gives the sign opened, what permissions do you have (button below in Library tool) for that folder?
Q4. Internal disk or external?0 -
A1). No, it's a circle with an "X"
A2). It varies, some older files (ca. 2 months) some newer. It looks as if they are all affected when it happens, but I didn't make a thorough search, for fear of losing info.
A3). This could be the problem. I can't locate what you mean. The library tool shows the session and then a list of folders. the current folder is shown in orange. I don't see a "permissions" folder anywhere, just "info" bottom right.
A4). Internal.
Thanks for your help - it seems to have corrected itself now, but I would like to know what has happened, as it wasn't the first time.

New to me. Have not seen that sign before in the program.[quote="NN171300UL3" wrote:

I meant the Info button at the bottom. When you press it, it will display the permissions of the current folder.
Let us know when it occurs again.0 -
Thank you Paul, I'll do that. 0
