I'm new to Capture One as well, coming from Aperture.

It took me a couple of weeks and a lot of editing to get into Capture One.
But I kept at it, and now I really enjoy it. I don't think the interface is that hard to work with.
You will learn a workflow that works for you, and then maybe customize the interface a bit to make it faster to work with.
That's one of the great features of Capture One.

Check the Youtube videos that are available, including the webinars.
They were really valuable for me. Helped me get that hang of how to do things.

Its funny, I have been using C1 for a while, I tried Aperture and felt the way you do about C1. Just couldn't get used to it.
The scrolling issue you speak of may be dealt with via settings on your track pad. I don't own one so I couldn't say for sure.
That issue to you is my favorite feature. However, I use a mouse. Funny how things work.
    "One man's trash"

    The before and after adjustments:
Each adjustment has little icons to the right of the adjustment description. Starting with a "?", then "A", followed by a diagonal arrow, and finally the one you want, a counter clockwise circular arrow.
If you click this, it resets that particular adjustment. Now if you hold the "option" key while clicking the icon it toggles the reset.

To delete a lot of pics just use your shift key to select the range of pics you don't like, right click, delete.

Don't feel bad about your "ranting". You will see that some folks aren't as reserved as you.

C1 can be really intimidating at first. The 60day trial is a lot of time to adjust or decide its not for you.

Thanks for the help 😊 I learn slowly and hopefully I will appreciate the GUI. For now I still think it's wrong not following how Mac OS X works, selecting many files/images should delete them as it does in Mac OS X.
