20D tethered shooting
hi everyone,
I've been using Capture One Pro for a while now to convert my 20d Raw images and i like it. Not perfect but very very good. However I haven't been shooting tethered before. ever. but now that v3.7 supports the 20d shooting tethered i would like to use it.
can someone give me directions how to set things up shooting the 20d tethered. I am not a techy at all so can you please be as specific as possible so i don't mess up. belive me i can.
somethig like:
1) plug the usb cable into the camera and MAC
2) turn on both
3) launch C1
4) click on.....
5) set the menu on the 20d to.....
i admit i am a beginner. please talk to me like someone who is not very familiar with computers and new to digital and who never shot tethered before.javascript:emoticon('')
Thanks in advance.
All suggestions that can get me going are well appreciated.

Z u c k,
Tethering with a 20D is possible with the exception of using OS Tiger. Using the Canon Capture software is one workaround. Using a different OS is another. Canon released new SDK files and Tiger arrived about the same time as the release date of v3.7
The next update will address this issue.
Most problems with tethering are a result of out-of-date drivers. Be sure you have the most recent installed.
Please see this link to the web site for an overall instruction:

Good Luck,

Any word on a date for this update?0 -
This will be in 3.7.1 (If Canon release a new SDK with in that time) release date is not set yet but it will be during the summer. Release date should be announced soon. 0 -
Thanks for the info.
I am not using Tiger but was going to upgrade to it and PSCS2 . I will wait with my upgrade until this is resolved so that I can use my 20D.
In the meantime i figured out how to shoot the 20D tethered. Pretty straight forward.
The more zou get to know C1Pro the more zou start to appreciate it. Great software.
