Lens Correction
I am comparing lens correction profiles supplied with C1 against Lightroom and DXO. Specifically, I am looking at Nikon AF-S 24-70 f/2.8 zoom lens that is supported by C1. Mostly at wide angle end of the zoom range.
To my eye, Lightroom and DXO are very close, but C1 stands out quite a bit. DXO applies quite a bit more of barrel distortion correction than C1. Again, to my eye, you end up with lines that are more straight with DXO treatment.
Also, it looks that C1 does not apply any distortion correction to start with. While it correctly identifies the lens, it leaves distortion slider at 0% which produces quite heavy distortion. Moving the slider to 100% brings it closer to what DXO produces but even 120% (max) produces image that still displays some barrel distortion when compared to DXO.
I wonder what is other users' experience there?

The apps all apply corrections in their own way. You can set the slider to 100% as a default if you like. I found that CO doesn't add pixels to correct lenses like LR, i.e. the overall size of the image (pixels) can be reduced in CO. LR will always maintain the original pixel count. Phase support told me this was to maintain maximum image quality and that does make some sense. 0
