Capture One 7 with Nikon D810
Guys the new Nikon D810 is out for almost two weeks. I know it is new but can please work more quickly on the update so we can finally work with C1 ?
I really don't want to wait until the end of August with a useless camera.
Nikon NX-D is a pure shit and Adobe Camera is a shitty beta.
I don't understand why Nikon still continue to create shitty program like NX ?
Come one guys, please update C1 !!!!
Or at least give us a way to use it before that...

Hi,
Would you prefer a shitty C1 Pro to match the shitty Adobe Camera RAW or pure shit like Nikon NX-D? I am pretty sure that PhaseOne is working will high efforts to deliver an update for their program to get the most out of your D810. Btw, I am waiting for this update as well - but I'd prefer a wonderful working RAW conversion over shitty stuff - just repeating your statements.

The D800 and D810 produce files that are very very aligned.
There is a simple workaround. Get an exif editor and change the camera name in the exif from D810 to D800.
The file will open in Capture One. That said I still find the Nikon D800 profile to be unsatisfactory and prefer
the way Nikon NX2 does raw conversions as far as skin tones go. However I do prefer accurate skin tones rather than
the altered skin tones of Capture One. When I want to alter skin tones I by far prefer to do it in retouching stage using
photoshop. I just don't like it when my RAW conversion makes inaccurate skin alterations.
Sometimes the CO7 "fake tan" brownish or reddish looks work, but if I'm casting the right subject with the right skin these "effects" do not work.
I would also suggest not using the Nikon d800 profile for Nikon D800 files. Use the IQ250 profile. Magically all sorts of tonality that was missing in the d800 profile comes back. Mostly tones in the yellow, beige and light browns.0 -
Just an FYI for all the 810 owners...Adobe has issued an update for Camera Raw that supports the 810. Also Lightroom 5.6 is released that supports the 810. Us Capture One users still have to wait. tick. tock. tick tock. Have the Lambs stopped screaming Clarice? 0
