Tethering Raw Images Not Showing
Can anyone tell me why when I am shooting in Tether and the camera set on Raw the images do not come out or show up in the viewer. If I change from Raw to Jpeg they will show up. I tried the Tether with and without the card inserted. The software recognize the camera and the camera model is supported. Raw images just will not show up. Just the ! mark shows up. Please help

Maybe you like to share more information about your setup (camera, raw setting like full raw or compressed, version of CO Pro 6 etc.). More information means more help. 0 -
Sorry for the lack of information. The Camera is the Canon D60 shooting Full Raw Tethering into Capture One Pro 6. Also when Tethering it does recognize the camera. I guess since this model canon does not have Live View, I can only control the shutter. When I do click the shutter it opens several blank images with the "!" symbol in the middle of them for each shot. But no picture. But, if I switch to JPEG the image would show up. 0 -

First, my I assume you have the 60D (as Canon has been making a D60 in the past). My first guess is that you may run an earlier version of CO Pro 6, like 6.0 or 6.1. Update (free!) to the latest release for full 60D raw support.
And yes, Jpegs always show up.
And by the way, the Canon 60D has LiveView but not with CO Pro.0 -
Thanks for the reply. I am using the older model D60, not the newer 60D. But, it is listed as compatible on the website. I am planning on getting a new camera within the next month or so. I just want to get myself a little more knowledgable before jumping in head first. Also the software is up to date with the latest version, when I checked it. I also noticed the Raw file says CR2 instead of CRW when it's showing as a blank image in CO6, if that make a difference I don't know. 0 -

Compatible for tethering? I reckon not.
It's usually the case that as new versions of the SDK are produced by Canon (which Phase One needs in order to provide tethering support), old cameras are dropped as new cameras are added, and the D60 is very old.
If you look here and scroll down to Tethered support, you'll see the D60 is conspicuous by its absence.
Capture One support for a camera does not automatically also mean tethering support, I'm afraid. Even Capture One 4 didn't provide tethering support for the Canon D60.0 -
Their is no tethering support for the Canon D60 indeed, only raw support. Apart the website mentioned you can always check the release notes from the website download page or the Help menu of Capture One. 0
