    Thank you. Any others seeing this? I opened a support case but it didn't go well. As part of their troubleshooting advice, Support asked me to save a copy of my library and delete the original. I don't think they take into account that if a user does not use sessions, that a library can be quite large. Mine is in the vicinity of 265 GB. I have an iMac with a 1 TB SSD and the OS is High Sierra. When it came time to re-open the copy of my library I got a bad surprise - Even though I showed enough space on my SSD to load it, I found the Apple now has something called purgeable space which is not really counted as available. So the OS reported that I did not have enough space to open the library copy I had made (and saved to another disk) - even though the size was identical to the file I had trashed. Long story short, Time Machine saved my bacon.

    Anyway, at least I now know some other people also show this problem.
