Application Scripting for Processing
I'm trying to find more info on application scripting. I read this (on a Capture One blog)-
'Application Scripting (for Mac only) is much more powerful in Capture One 8. Users can now create custom automated scripts for almost any processing tasks.'
I've asked many many people if there is a way to create a process script or there is some way of processing out every file in a session with a script. I've just been on a five day shoot, over 500GB of data, over 60 shoot folders, so something to process out every file QuickProof would have been very handy and time saving!
Using Mac Pro, 10.9.
Any help on this appreciated.

How about one of the smart Album called "All Images"
Choose the right recipe, select all and hit Command-D.
Just for reminder : Smart Albums scan what's inside the Favorites so if your folders are not it won't work.0 -
OK. Thanks that's pretty handy. This method is perfect for smaller shoots that I can file everything in finder once it's processed
What would be ideal though would be something that processes out every file into a folder that has the same name as the capture folder. As a lot of shoots contain thousands of files and the folder names aren't as simple as 'Shot 01' 'Shot 02' etc. so a little more painful to sort after processing.

Ok then you could try including some metadata in your Output Naming to help sorting it out. 0 -
Yes this is quite easy. We teach such techniques in our COMP class:

If you want to try to teach yourself I suggest starting by looking at the dictionary for c1v8 in the AppleScript utility and looking into passed file handling in AS in general.0
