horizontal band after conversion

I am having an issue w/ C1 Pro 3.7. After the image is converted, there is a horizontal band (in the middle of the image, across the full width) where a single row of pixels has been stretched to 2 or 2.5 times their normal height dimension. This happens in both tiff or jpg, 8 or 16 bit. Any ideas?

  Sample image and information on which camera would be great.

  The camera is a Canon 1D mk1. Here is a link to a sample image. It contains the original file as well as a 200% crop (244 from C1 and 244a from ACR)
  
  Look across the thumb and the diagonal stripe on the innertube.
