MacBook Pro i7quad or i7dual?
Hi, im thinking of buying a new retina MaBook Pro and would like the 13inch model for portability. That, however cannot be ordered with a quad core I7 processor. If i get a dual core i7 with 16 Gb Ram and 512 Gb Harddrive, will I still be able to fly through my 21Mp canon 5d mkiii files, or will I be experiencing laggs when I drag the sliders? And what about processing times? Is an i7 quadcore a prerequisite for fast processing?

Yes.
Yes. And max out on the memory, and get the largest SSD you can afford. Do not bother with Apple's 'fusion' disks. An ! TB (one terabyte) Samsung SSD is about 450 euro (tax not included) now.
cheers

Wow, that seems rather clear. So fast c1 means getting a i7quadcore. Maybe, I should see if there is a fast 13inch win8 machine.
Thank you for your replies.
