First check: there is a start/stop button on the batch queue. Check its state.

    Thanks Paul,
Yes there is a start/stop button in the batch queue but when I click start still nothing happens.
I've tried deleting the batch queue folder from the capture one/application support folder as well as the preferences file and re-starting (as advised elsewhere) but still no luck. Any ideas?

I have experience a similar queue jam, when committing a batch to process, then making an edit to the current/another recipe, then committing a second batch to process. I think I solved it by creating a fresh session and re importing the raws. Might be worth junking the side car files too depending if that works or not.

Have you cleared the batch history already? Might help in such circumstances.

Thanks Paul, yes I have but no change, i'm afraid.
I read in an earlier post that it's sometimes possible to open C14 in new user account and get it to run - just tried this and it works!
I'll run the trial like this for now I guess, and try to figure out a proper solution later.
    Thanks again for your suggestions.
