Geotagging images
Sorry if already answered... i just switched from Lr to C1 and i defiantly will stay on C1 😊 In Lr my followed questions can be easily achieved out-of-the-box...
I have GPS information available directly out of the Canon 7D Mark II... I can also see them in C1 and i can click to see the location on Google Maps... But i wonder how it is possible to show up reverse geotagging information automatically...
Thanks for helping.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is reverse geotagging? 0 -
@Paul
Getting human readable location information from latitude/longitude information. E.g. the program recognizes "Berlin" from the location data.0 -
@Neonsquare: Thank you for explaining this 😊 yes Lr do this as you import your raw-files with the GPS information... C1 only shows the GPS latitude/longitude information... 0 -
Very educating, thanks! 😊 0 -
@Paul_Steunebrink: A little bit 😊 But to come back to my questions: To manage this at this moment, the only way i see is to use external Software like HoudahGeo, etc., right? Or would be something coming in next releases of C1? 0 -

I am afraid you are bound to external tools, as far as I know of.0 -
Ok maybe this feature can be added in C1 at some time 😉 0 -
I have C1v8.3 installed and use HoudahGeo to geotag my photos. When I save the geotagged information either as a sidecar or into the raw image, C1 mangles the lat/long information such that my longitude is shown off by 70 degrees or so. If I open the image in HoudahGeo again, the GPS information is correct. Here's an example:
Capture 1 lat/long information for a photo: N45.496541 W51.085402
Correct lat/long information for the photo: N45.4965412 W122.66819
This was an issue posted on the forums in around 2011. Anyone else seeing this? Any suggestions for a fix?

I have exactly the same problem.
I have all my Raw geotagged in MyTracks and organized in Aperture. Importing the Aperture Library into C1 I notice the coordinates are wrong, when I show them in google maps, the location is incorrect.
However when I export these pics from C1 and open them in in google maps or any other program, the position is 100% accurate again.
Does anyone have any idea what is wrong and how to adjust it.0 -

I reported this to support as a bug and have received a response telling me that they have reproduced this issue and will be addressing it as soon as possible.0 -

Well, yes and no (if I understand your question correctly).
If you look closely at the information under the Metadata tab in the C1 display you will see a small arrow next to the EXIF - GPS line. If you click on that it will take you to what is supposed to be the location as shown in Google Maps. Unfortunately that location is incorrect (mine show in the middle of the Atlantic) because of a bug in C1 which has been reported and which I have been told will be fixed quickly.
If I am misunderstanding your post then I apologize.0 -
