Disable Capture and Selects folders
I want all my raws in the session folder itself, not in any subfolders. CaptureOne doesn't allow those fields to be empty, nor to be ".", so how can I create a session in my CaptureOne to work without any capture/selects subfolders?

You don't have to use them.
(Also they are, by intent, "virtual folders" and so can be associated with any folder on you system although that is of little consequence to your question.)
Just ignore them unless you suddenly find a use for them.
However I found after a while that using the Capture folder (intended originally for tethered shooting image management) within the session folder structure made things somewhat neater - and indeed so can subfolders within the Capture folder.
I rarely use selects but once in a while it is handy to have the facility in my view.
But then there are also time when I entirely ignore all of the session folders and simply open files from wherever they are located.
HTH.

The images are already in the session folder, but how can I see them in C1? They won't show up in any of the folders under Session Folders in C1.
It seems like the easiest thing in the world to open a folder of images, but I just can't get C1 to comply. ☹️0 -

You can navigate to the folder in the System Folders section of the Library tool, right click it and select Add to Favourites from the context menu. It will then appear in the Session Favourites. Or if you are sure you don't want to work with the standard Capture, Selects, Output, Trash model, you can navigate to the session folder as before, right click it and choose Set as Capture Folder - that has the result of Capture in the Session Folders showing the contents of the Session folder rather than the contents of the Capture subfolder. It also has the result that any more images you import into the session will go there by default.
