New Capture One User: advanced export options?

Why do you want to blindly overwrite previously processed images with new process? I'd prefer to do this manually because sometimes I really want more than just the most recently processed TIFF.

    I'd suggest a different approach.

"Processed variant" = your original file + the "recipe" you created when processing in C1.
"Post-processed variant" = Processed variant + whatever was done in the external editor(s)

C1 keeps track of what was done in C1 its catalog. If I further process a variant using an external application, I add a keyword when I bring it back into my C1 catalog. Examples: postprocessed, or pp_Photoshop; pp_Affinity; pp_Intensify.

I have several backups that include both the C1 catalog and my images. "Image" includes the original Raw files and any TIFFs I created from them using Photoshop or other software.

Thus each of my 4 TB backup disks has all of my images and can reproduce all post-processing I've done. Assuming that you already backup your library, this approach will give you what you want as long as you're willing to use C1's search functionality to locate your externally processed images.

Thanks for the reply. I don't care about legacy edits, just the most current edit of the photo. The goal here is to have an accessbile directory structure of the most up to date edits of photos from my C1 library, organized for those who may not be using the software (or for sharing/eporting etc). If I want to see older edits, I could just open C1 and look through the adjustments panel.

I guess what I am looking for is a way to export my entire C1 library to a processed directory structure that I can update as needed, but it would skip and overwrite files, not just write duplicates. I hope this all makes sense... 😄

Ok, so it appears there is no way to over-write an export, or skip files that have not changed. I love C1, but I it would be great if the engineers would work on better exporting options especially since sharing capabilities are very limited.

    Just a suggestion.
