C1 does not allow you to make any changes whatsoever to the raw file itself.
This is out of an abundance of caution as any change of the underlying raw file carries some risk of corruption or errors (a very small risk assuming the programming is done well, but a risk none the less).
You can use 3rd party software if desired to make such a chance. But I'd strongly suggest making a backup of the files to an independent location prior to doing so.0 -
In Lightroom you have the option of changing the capture time in the catalog which doesn't touch the raw files. You can also change it in the raw files too if you set an option in the preferences. Its very hand y when you forget to change the camera during DST or cross into a different TZ.
Hopefully it something CO will have at some point in the future. If you still have Lightroom I would import the images using "add to catalog" so they are not moved or copied and then change the date in the raw files. CO should then pick that up if you refresh the metadata.0 -
PhotoLinker, can modify the hours and other data. 😉 0 -

Just to clarify for others - So far as I know (and please someone chime in) any application currently available that can change the capture time (Lightroom included) is only able to do so in hourly increments. Perfect if you just changed time zones... not so great for multiple cameras that are out of sync..
So... if you're doing media management for a job, make damned sure the camera times are synchronized otherwise you're going to have a serious headache to deal with later.0 -
The OP doesn't mention if he is talking about raw image files in need of changing.
Several imaging applications will alter date and time down to a second, however they'll do it in xmp, not in the raw files themselves.
One candidate for doing the raw thing might be Photo Mechanic.

Photo Mechanic can handle this as well. 0 -
XnView MP can do it. It's free, though requires payment for professional use.
If changing the timestamp on photos that you have already edited in C1 you will have to "Sync Metadata" to get C1 to recognize the changed time (for the purposes of sorting by date, which includes the time). This is done in the Metadata "tool" accessed by the circled "i" in the Tool Tabs. To the right of the word METADATA when you are in the metadata tool there are icons, one of which is three dots: ... Click the three dots and "Sync Metadata" is one option that appears in a drop down menu. If you only do this to one photo, and your photo thumbnail "disappears" after doing this, you may have sorting set to "Date" and so your photo shifts to its new place based on the updated timestamp. If you use Reload Metadata it will remove all your ratings and color tags. Sync Metadata keeps all your ratings and color tags. Sync Metadata also creates an .xmp file associated with every image. Don't know what that means and pretty sure I don't want an extra file that might have to travel along with my photos wherever I copy them to. I deleted all these .xmp files, and as far as I can tell it did not affect anything.
Possible alternative to Sync Metadata: Select one or more photos, right click, and the first option at the top of the pop up menu is "Load Metadata". Not sure if this works for this purpose, but I discovered the option later and it might work. Selecting "Load Metadata" does not create an .xmp file, and it did not reset star ratings.
Others above cite a risk to changing the time in a raw file, and so I copied the files, made the change, and was able to see the change was made without issue. I'll do the same thing (make a copy first ) next time I need to change the date.
How to add one minute using XnView MP:
In dialog "Change timestamp" (Tools>Change Timestamp) choose the following values:
Use:
(o) EXIF: Date taken
+ [0] day(s) 00:01:00
Change:
[x] EXIF: Date taken
[x] EXIF: Date digitized
[x] EXIF: Date modified...these instructions are a variation of what I found someone give in a forum, but I added the last two checked options to the "Change" field (date digitized, and date modified). Don't know which field C1 uses to determine the time taken, so I changed all of these which were identical to begin with.
