With sessions the trash is a folder named Trash, and can be found in the session folder.

Within CO7 you can go to the upper section in the Library tool, Session Folders, and you'll find the Trash. Click on it to open and move/drag any image you like to recover to the folder you like (like the Capture folder or any system folder on your disk).

I found the Trash folder for the session. CO says that it's empty.

I have maybe screwed something else up trying to locate the Trash. I found a selection under File called Set as Trash Folder. I clicked on that thinking it would show where the Trash folder was. Instead I believe it selected some other folder for trash. Now when I try to delete a file I get an error message: Failed to Move Image; Unknown Error occurred.

If I go the the Trash Folder for the session, the File>Set as Trash Folder is grayed out.

Perhaps if I get the correct folder reset as the trash, I'll find all the images that I have been discarding and lose the error message?

    Vaughn,

There are 2 ways to delete files in C1. One puts the file in you designated Trash folder the proxy label for which can be seen in the Library window under Session Folders. Moving the trash there makes the files recoverable with C1 until you empty the folder. The shortcut command is Ctrl+Del

The other method is an immediate delete. The shortcut command for this is Alt + Del.

You can indeed change the actual folder to which "Trash" points as you seem to have done.

To find out where C1 thinks it is go to the Library window listing for Session Folders, right click on the Trash folder shown there and you should see 2 options to locate the actual folder it points to in the windows files.

"Show in System Folders" will highlight the folder in the System Folder section of the Library Window below. You may need to expand that section if you have it unexpanded at the time, and then scroll down until you see the highlight line.

"Show in Explorer" will take you into Windows Explorer and allow you to do the same thing although in my system it seems to decide to make me do the drill down work from the top level "c:" drive following the highlights down through each level until you reach the folder.

C1 sessions automatically create folders for Trash, Selects and Output and add the Proxy entries to the Library Session Folders giving the Proxies the same name as allocated to the folder. If you change any of those to point as a different folder there is potential for some confusion but there will, no doubt, be some situations for which to do so will make some sense to the workflow involved so long as people are mindful of the change! It is very flexible - if people need it. If not, just work within the session and keep things simple.

    Hope this helps.
