Expression Media causes shutdown on MAC
When using expression media it crashes the computer completely. It´s like a power failure - no hints, no dialogues - just shut down. Even when it´s the only programm running.
It happens when it is updating Media or when I´m only scrolling through the thumbnails.
I´m using a Apple 2,8 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM, Mac OSX 10.6.4.

1 - Boot into Safe Mode and launch EM there. If it launches and runs without crashing reboot normally and try again.
2 - move the EM preference file, com.microsoft.expressionmedia2.plist, to the Desktop and launch EM again. If it crashes as before replace the preference file. NOTE: have your EM registration key handy as you'll be asked to enter it when you first launch EM after removing the preference file. And you'll have to reset all of your preferences.
3 - log into another user account on your Mac and see if EM will run there without crashing. If it does then the application may be the culprit. Download a new copy and try again.
4 - Does EM crash if you launch EM without a catalog open? If EM does not crash w/o a catalog open try create a new catalog, import some photos and "play" with that one for a while to see if it crashes? If that is successful then your working catalog may be the culprit.0
