Not directly as far as I am aware.

Also you cannot edit a psd image directly in C1 so what did you have in mind as the intermediate file type?

I would think you are probably better off going back to PS since you already have that in your workflow.

    HTH.

    OK, that's good info.

I wanted to use the clarity and structure after doing some reflection removal in PS that I could not pull off in CM1.

I didn't realize I could not make further edits in C1. I thought I already tried as an experiment. I'll have to look again.

You could edit a tiff file of course. Or a jpg.

    That will work.

You can copy all adjustment layers to another image but sadly that will replace the existing ones. You can then delete the extra layers and edit the adjustments. This works between raws and tiffs but I haven't tested it with psd files.

To be able to copy a single layer would be nice.

How do I copy all the layers to another image? That would work great.

On the subject of further adjustments to a .psd file - it sorta works. I was able to add a new layer on top of a .psd file, create a mask and make the adjustments I wanted. However the ability to display the mask does not work. Which makes it kind of hard to actually create the mask I need.

At any rate if @Sameli can guide me through copying the layers over that could work or I'll got with the tiff idea. In the end I can keep the .psd around in case I need to make other changes in PS and use a tiff generated from it to make my final version.

    Thanks!

I just recreated the mask. And I was able to perform further edits on the .psd file. I just accidentally hid the mask. There was nothing stopping me from editing the .psd file in C1 except my own hot key vandalism 😊

I got the right setting turned back on and recreated the mask and added my clarity as desired. To recap

I made change to exposure and highlights in C1 - edited in PS to remove a reflection too close to the loon - then edited the clarity and structure of he .psd in C1 again.

    Presumably a flattened psd file?

As far as I understood things PSD were read/view only. I'll go and look for notes about a change to the spec.

That is correct the .psd has no layers. I'll have to see what happens if I do have layers. I'm not sure when I'll get time to try that though 😊

    No need.

As has been pointed out already, one can perform further edits on a PSD file in C1. This PSD file can have layers as well, no problem. It may be necessary to have some "compatibility" option activated in PS, in order to ensure that a PSD file can be dealt with by another application that doesn't understand PS layers. However, in principle, it works just fine.

The fact that PSD files are supported is great as one can go back and make further edits to the PSD file. Upon returning to C1, the changes will be reflected, with any C1 edits that had been applied to the PSD file still intact.
