Capture One 10.0.1 hangs when deleting keywords
If you add a keyword to an image and the keyword is added to the library.
Delete it from the image(s) so it is not assigned to any images
Go to the Keyword Library and delete it Capture One 10.0.1 will hang and you have to Force Quit.
If you delete a Keyword from the library and it is assigned to an image(s) it works fine. It deletes the keyword from all images and deletes the keyword from the library.
Did not try this on an older release so I don't know if it is new with 10.0.1 or not.
Crash reports were sent to Phase One. Will create a bug report.

I had a similar issue with version 9.3 and version 8. However, it happened any time I tried to delete a keyword or edit a key word in the library. C1 became unresponsive for over 30 min. Force quitting corrupted my catalog. I backup after every important work session, so this was just an annoyance, but it keeps me from ever editing the keyword library. I am just getting along with a few mistyped keywords that crept into my library and am more careful about avoiding typos.
I have entered this as a support query.

I have a catalog with 52000 images, well-documented with keywords and metadata. In previous versions, I could not edit the keyword library without Capture One hanging forever. I moved the filter tool to its own custom tab. This caused C1 to spend 30 min doing some disk intensive activity, but thereafter, I had no problems editing or deleting key words (at least when not showing images in the browser; did not test this). In addition, advanced searches worked quite well, whereas before it was slow. 0 -
That is a good idea. Thanks for the information. I added a custom tool tab and added Filters to it. Gives me a lot more room for viewing filters. Left the original Filters tool under the Library Tab.
I tested adding a new keyword to an image. Deleting the keyword from the image so there were no images with the keyword and then deleted the keyword and it worked fine.
Will try another test with a larger catalog than what I have on my laptop.0
