    They don't fix it ! (for me !)
    I'll try with the canon SDK and say back

    Just to clarify any confusion, the availability of Canon Tethering in the 10.7.5 or 10.8.x Operating Systems is currently up to Canon. Once they release an SDK for us to use we'll introduce it into the software.
    At present, one is still not available.

    Please reference the following post for a workaround;

    This seems like something that should be fully documented in the release notes, regardless of where the problem lies. It's unfortunate that I need to post a question in the user forum to know the status of a basic functionality that I depend on. That it's not documented, means I'll likely need to keep asking this question on future releases to determine at what point it makes sense for me to upgrade.

    While the work around might be a perfect solution for many, I need a greater level of reliability. I don't mind being a product tester in certain situations, but my current environment has enough complications already. I'd like a product that is fully functional on install, and the documentation that tells me what level of functionality I can expect if my situation is outside of the supported configuration. Or, a reasonable idea of what the fully supported configuration is.

    The "Known Issues" portion of the release notes do list this limitation.

    I can understand the reluctance to use the workaround but it is a viable and reliable solution. The workaround is essentially what we will do within Capture One when the SDK is publicly available. Until then, however, we cannot introduce the Canon software into the Capture One by default for legal purposes.

    My apologies.

    That was the section I was digging for, and apparently missed?

    Thanks,

    Installed 7.0.1 could not connect 5d mk11

    Followed the work around procedure, still can't connect camera.

    I have mac os 10.8.2, what is the most reliable COP version so I can shoot tethered?

    TIA

    Check whether you run it as Capture One Pro or as Capture One DB.
