QuickProof: different file size for portrait/landscape
I am processing images from a Nikon D200.
When I select QuickProof, the resulting JPEGs for landscape format images have a different pixel size (1296 x 1936 = 50%) than portrait format (3872 x 2592).
Do I have a setting wrong, or is this a bug?

Hi There,
Quickproof settings
Set the percent box as you wish
I.E. 75/50/ 25%
Leave Fixed as is
With Image View open click the bullseye Icon right of Job name and note the est size of your processed Image--tailor this to suit.
Good Luck,

Des,
I fear this didn't help. I wanted 100% size and still landscape images only have half the pixel count.
My settings (from top to bottom):
Format: JPEG low
Quality: QuickProof
Profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1
Resolution: 300 px/in
Size: Fixed, 100%
Open after process: off
Create File Icon: on
Job Name (empty or not, clicked on bullseye or not - doesn't matter)
Composition: Capture name only
File size: 1.34 MB - for all files, no matter whether landscape or portrait0 -
Hmmmm Thomas,
Possible scenarios:
Rotate in C1 the Images to ALL same
Make two folders -1 vertical set--1 landscape--on fixed setting there SHOULD be no px loss(proportionally).
Try turning off /on Auto Rotate in the D200
OK some aspects of LE do not have full process facilities as C1Pro.
Possible this feature not active?--with respect to alternative Cameras/etc
I only use CI Pro with The P25 and whether Landscape or Vertical Images are equal size/dimension in the QProof setting I outlined
I have P25 set to OPEN AS SHOT.
This now sounds like a case for SUPER ULF and his merry men possibly-Ha!
Good Luck,
Des

HI -
Whether PRO, LE or DB- QuickProof has a special algorythm for processing "low res" images in cut time .Because this is a true conversion from the RAW data, not an output of the preview images There are two different algorithms in Capture One.
The QuickProof algorithm is built with Speed of processing as the priority, while the algorithm for the Process Tool/Tab is for the highest image quality.
Kind Regards-

I was told this morning by support that this is a known issue and is being worked on. 0 -
hi-
let us check into this issue , so it can be more clear:
I do see the differences horizontal v. portrait (less pixels) at 100%,
what is the case number or the supporter you spoke to?
Kind regards-
