Question on Base Characteristics' Curve
I use a Canon 5D2 and a G1X and have always had to work at getting good skin tones with CO7 when using the default Film Standard. Although lacking in other areas, I liked the skin tones Canon’s DPP software gave me without any tweaking and I always tried to match them with CO7 and have not always been successful.
I recently changed my defaults from Film Standard to Linear Response and I’m very happy with the results. They match or exceed those skin tones I was getting with DPP and of course with a few simple adjustments the rest of the image quality is the same high standard.
Does CO7’s Base Characteristics’ Curve vary with the camera ICC profile or are they fixed in the software?

Each filmcurve is unique for a camera model and part of the profiling of each model. For information purposes, you can find them here: C:\Program Files\Phase One\Capture One 7\Film Curves0 -
Thank you for answering my question.
I have one more. Is Linear Response the same for all ICC profiles or is it considered a film curve and customized for each profile?0
