Windows version poorer than Mac
Looking at the video tutorial - demo'ed on the Mac version naturally ;o/ - I notice the absence of the customize toolbar option in the view menu on my Win version (incidentally I tripped over this during my futile attempts to customize tabs and bring all tools in view including the picker in the curve tab - by the way, did anyone find a workaround for this).
So it seems that in good tradition Win users get the short end of the stick; how short ? - would be interesting to see a compiled list of the differences somewhere.

don't hold your breathe on that...😊 0 -
AFAIK, the customise toolbar facility is part of the Mac OS, not C1.
Going through the User Guide some weeks ago - which is based on the Mac version - I could see very few other differences.0 -

And some of them are in favor of the Windows version, but Windows users will never notice that, won't they? 😄
To be honest, feature set is 99,9% the same between both platforms. Not much to complain about, if any reason at all.
(Yes, I have run both, Mac & Win, on my Mac & Win computers for comparison of features and performance since the first beta of CO4).0 -

sorry for that, imacken, but I was not referring to your post but to the initial poster with his 'that in good tradition Win users get the short end of the stick'. I was just teasing a bit, no hard feelings I hope 😄
In fact, the Windows version has more nice but small extras over the Mac's version, but who cares?0 -
If the customizable toolbar is due to the Mac OS, then PO shouldn't be touting it as a C4 feature. At the very least they should specify toolbars can only be custumized only on Macs instead of misleading people to think all users can take advantage of the feature. 0 -

I must be missing something obvious here: for years I've seen Windows applications featuring customizable menus, customizable toolbars, customizable keystrokes in some cases (SilkyPix DS, for example). Why would this necessarily be a Mac-only "thing"?
I don't find the non-customizable toolbar any particular problem, though it was a bit irritating to have spent a while looking for the feature, the whole time thinking that I must just have gone mental or something because I couldn't find it.
An easily-visible single sentence in the PDF file; a single audible sentence spoken aloud in the tutorial video -- that's all it would have taken to settle this. Why not document it? That's the part I find kind of baffling. Kafka-esque. Why not simply say that the feature isn't in the Win version, and have done with it?0
