Problem Setting Up Process Recipes for Export
Hello Everyone,
This is my first post and I am new to Capture One Pro 10. I made the jump after five years of Lightroom.
First, I really like Capture One Pro 10. It is fast, good workflow and the ability to export multiple formats in one operation. The latter is what I am having a problem with.
I work in tethered sessions. My goal are recipes for JPEG, TIFF and PSD all going to different sub-folders. When I set up the output location for one recipe, it changes the final location for all the recipes. It does not matter if I have them checked or not. They all go into the same folder being the one I set up last. When I go back to any of the previous recipes, they have the sub-folder I last entered, in other recipes. In other words, if I name the last recipe "JPEG", it names all the recipes whether they are enabled or not "JPEG". All formats end up in one sub-folder.
More specifically, for "Output Location" is set to Output. Output Location is set as follows. Destination=Output Sub Folder is set to JPEG (or whatever format I want to export). It does not matter if I use tokens or input text. It changes all recipes no matter if they are enabled or not.
I am also confused about what "Sub Name" and "Sub Folder" under "Root Folder" do and what is the difference. What is the difference between "Sub Name" and "Sub Folder"?
Everything goes into the right session folder if that is the proper term. They are in one sub-folder under "Output" I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong when changing variables. I want the sub folder destination different for the different file formats. I am trying to get sub-folders under "Output" for my different formats.
What am I missing? I am sure it is something simple I am overlooking. Maybe I am just plain dumb. I am not quite to the point of "Shock Therapy" but getting close.
I am glad to be here and thank you all for your input and help. This is my first post.
Y'all have a wonderful weekend.
Roger

Hi Roger,
Welcome to the forum!
Yes, process recipes are perhaps a bit overwhelming at first glance but if I tell you a few secrets...
In each process recipe, File tab, you noticed the Root Folder. This is the folder the output goes to. If you have the default Output Location selected, the location of the output is controlled by the Output Location tool. If you change the location there, all recipes with the default Root Folder > Output Location setting change along with it.
If you like to control the location from the recipe, change it there. But...
Maybe a single Output Location is fine, but more like the main folder, with subfolders per file type (JPEG and so on). If you like that, in each recipe fill in the name of the Sub Folder field. The output will go into a sub folder with that name within the designated Output Location or Root Folder.0
