Added folder to catalog, but images do not display.

I send all my processed photos to a folder named "Output" where the working PSD's live. I like to do all my final cropping in COP7 with the images in the Output folder, but they don't show up in COP7 when I add the folder to my Catalog in the Library. Am I doing something wrong?

Steps:

1. Send photos via process recipe to "Output" folder.
2. Work in Photoshop, save edited layered PSD's to same "Output" folder.
3. Back in COP7 I now want to crop and make other final tweaks with the working files here. I click on the "PLUS" icon in the Folders section.
a) Navigate to "Output" folder,
b) click "Add"
c) Output folder is now added to the Folders section.
4. No Images display in COP7 when I click on the Output folder in the Library section.

Thoughts?
I have Use Open CL set to Never, and I'm using a Macbook Pro, OS 10.7.5

There are two issues that might play a role here.

1. Capture One can output to the PSD format but can not open or display PSDs.

2. Adding your 'output' folder to the catalog does not result in the catalog displaying the contents of it (apart from PSD, same for JPEG or TIFF). You have to import any image file before it shows up in the catalog.

Note that in the case of working with TIFFs instead of PSDs, Capture One might not show the layers or not show layered TIFFs at all.
Consider making crops in Capture One before processing or crop in Photoshop.

Thanks Paul,

I didn't know that Capture One couldn't display PSD's (I'm so used to working in Lightroom but thinking of switching). That's the trouble then, because I tried importing the PSD images into the catalog and the import dialog didn't display the images there either.

So TIFF's will display then? If so, I might try working with those. I just like to do final cropping and other small adjustments inside Capture One so that the crop isn't permant.
