6.4.3 and tethered canon
Seems that with this updated software I cannot reconnect a Canon 1Ds mark III or a 1D Mark IV without quitting and restarting Capture software every time. If I do not quit out of Capture, but just disconnect cable and tether up again I get a "cannot connect to camera" error, or no message at all, with no connection. This never happened with prior versions of Capture. I could always disconnect the cable and reconnect it without quitting out of capture.

Two suggestions:
- in Preferences, Capture disable all providers except the Canon (in particular the Nikon provider)
- create a support case and attach the CaptureCore log; on Mac you can find it in <user name>/Library/Log/CaptureCC.log0 -
Hi
I noticed the exact same thing. With Canons.
Worked with a D3X for 3 days with 6.4.3 and didn't have any trouble at all. (I even tried to disconnect the camera during a capture and it reconnected and uploaded the images successfully! )0 -

I had that already in place. All providers were disabled except Canon.0 -
Experiencing the exact same issue on a new non-retina 15"MBP/OSX10.74 tethered to 5DmkIII. Also disabled non-canon in c1Pro>Pref and also had to use the same sequence to regain connection. 0 -
Exact same problem here. My 1ds mrkIII and 5d mrkIII will not reconnect if I turn the camera off then back on again, I have to shut down C1, turn the camera on BEFORE i restart C1 for it to recognize, running OS 10.6.8

I am wondering if doing a clean install of 6.4.3 will take care of the problem. Also, I have 6.4.2 in the app folder, renamed. 0 -
Dale, tried the delete and clean install with no luck, I'm sure it's just a canon SDK issue that needs tweaking. 0 -
I had this problem with the Canon 5D III at home, where I use a PC with Vista 64bit. Then I went to test it in the studio with a another PC with WIN 7 and there were no problems ( I only tested it for 10 minutes, though)
Also, I had this problem all the time with both PCs when I was shooting with the 5D Mk II.
