It sounds like you have activated the "Hand" in Watermark mode that would allow you to move the watermark set in the output recipe to a different position on an image.

Change to the normal hand mode (or some other tool) and you will be back to normal if my guess is correct.

PS - maybe also a crop applied? The other consideration would be whether you have selected Overlay mode.

Yes I seems as a newby to this software I have clicked on the "Hand" And All my images in the catalog now have this gray border. Not sure how to get back to "Normal mode" Been looking online for answers. None of the Capture One documentation even mentions the Hand. A step by step from someone would be helpful.

Right click on the "Hand" icon in the row of icons above the image.

Do you see 3 options? If so try them in turn and see what happens.

I suspect may be nothing to do with that and you have activated something else - perhaps a crop or something similar applied through an active process recipe or unintentionally at a time when you happened to have all images selected.

I'm not going to be around for a few hours so hopefully someone else will be able to discuss this with you an work out what is going on.

    HTH.

Thank you for the responses. No to the right click. I get no other pop up options once that hand is right clicked. I suspect your are correct. Something else is active. I just do not know what it is.

    Horray I figured it out.

It was acting as an overly. By clicking on the hand in the toolbar I was able to remove. Well live and learn. As I say"Always a mouse click away"
