C1 Pro v4 & Mamiya MEF Files & LCC
Will we be able to apply a LCC correction to the Mamiya MEF files?

Depends how close their cooperation with Mamiya is. I leave that to a Phase One support staff to answer <grin>. 0 -
And that's exactly who I want to answer 😊 0 -

So, is C1 4.1 going to be the new C1 Pro?
This is getting confusing. The press release only mentions the "4.1" version number but the features list suggests it might be the new pro version...0 -

We do not have a full list of new features from R&D yet, so I do not have an answer to this yet.
Is C1 4.2 going to be the new C1 Pro? Yes and no, no and yes. It is part of the development towards the full C1 Pro 4, but do not think of it as C1 Pro. What we are doing is adding Digital back features so that our DB users can tether and take advantage of mamiya lens corrections. Because of the modular software design we have now with 4 it makes more sense to add features needed for our DB users to the existing software rather than release a new separate DB version. You will see a separate Pro version with many many more features. Indeed in the same time we will continue to develop more tools for our DB users as we go along.0 -
Will Lens+ and Focus+ technologies be available for DSLRs as well or just digital backs? 0 -
The release said the focus/correction features are with Mamiya lenses, so I'm assuming the correction apply to Mamiya AF lenses when shot on a AFD II or III body. Mamiya changes the bit count on the lens' circuit board, so this could apply just to the AFD III / P1 645 with the D lenses. Lots of unknowns still.
Coming back to MEF & LCC, that's a great feature and something that sets Phase apart from others. If Phase decided to omit this functionality for the ZD, that would be a shame. I also hope Phase created more than just a "Mamiya Generic" camera profile. "Easy Gray" & "Easy Black" are very useful product. I've also found the "P30+ Outdoor" to be a good starting point for landscape images.0 -
Is there a realistic (i.e., achievable) time framework for the release of Capture One 4 Pro? It has been a while that we loyal users have been waiting, gentlemen. 0 -

Indeed, you'd think the DB version would be the first to be released since we're the ones who dropped $30K on P1 backs, instead we've been stuck with this "light" version for quite some time now.0 -
Okay, we've got MEF support now via 4.1. So back to the original question - is LCC supported on ZD MEF files? 0 -
No LCC support for ZD. 0 -
Arg... Is Phase One going to add support in the Pro version? Hint, hint, hint... 0 -
I can not speak in certainties but most likely answer is no.
We do have support for the ZD back and camera but only to the same extent as we have support for 35mm DSLRs.
The other tools which are for digital backs are Phase One backs only.0
