Process Tool Unresponsive
Hello, hoping for a little guidance here. I recently downloaded a trial version of C1 Pro 8 as a potential replacement for Aperture. So far I like it better than LR or other options but am having issues with Process Tool not responding. I have several raw files (NEF) that I'd like to process for evaluation but no luck either with primary variants or all selected variants. The icon doesn't change to orange when I click it like all the other other icons in the toolbar. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks.

Hi,
Did you create a "Recipe?"0 -
Hi,
...or activated one (or more) of the 'process recipes' in the 'output' tool tab?

I think I have it figured out now. In the trial version there is an Output Tool Icon in the upper right corner of the toolbar that was not responding. Once I figured out how to add the Output Tool to the adjustment pane on the left side I was able to setup recipes and process. I think I'm good to go now. Thanks. 0 -

There is no limitation in the trial version.
The Process Icon option at the top right of the screen is a one touch "process now" activity that assumes you have already set up via the options in the process tab the recipe(s) that you wish to use.
It's possibly quite useful, depending on how you work - could be good on a tethered studio shoot I would think.
I don't use it because, typically, I will be adjusting recipe settings or simply running a huge batch file so working through the Process tab suits me better.
Capture One offers a lot of options and personalisation capability - there always seem to be new things to discover.
