C5.1.1 crashing upon import jpg or tiff

I tried to import respectively a jpg and a tiff file from DxO into capture one for processing since I had only used DxO for geometric correction. Not only was this impossible and it made C1 crash but now ... it is no longer possible to import anything because the moment I call up the import window (from the menu or via the import arrow makes no difference) C1 crashes before I even get the chance to change anything. Any ideas how I can solve this without having to, once again, throw the preferences away and start all over.

Did you already remove the images that made CO crash from their folder?

Hi Paul,

Yes I did. It still kept crashing. I then removed both the folder with the original files and the C1 session folder and that seems to have solved the problem. In the meantime I received more or less the same advice from support (quick and helpful as usual!).
