Try this: View menu, View Selected Color Range. If it is selected (check mark), uncheck it by selecting again. B&W display is only on Win, therefore I was surprised I saw it in Mac forum. Hope this helps.

    Hi Paul,
Thanks for the reply, I posted it in the Mac forum by mistake, I am, as you realised using windows.

Selective colour is not selected but I still only have black and white?

This is a real pain as I am in the middle of developing a two week holiday in Mexico and I am at a loss as to what to do now? I used a 1D and a 300D and all of my photos are now in monochrome ☹️

The strange thing is, if use any other app ie: viewer or raw converter they are in colour.

Well, to anyone who might experience the same problem, it can be solved as follows:

Go to "View/Proof profile" and select the appropriate proof profile ie: "Selected Output Profile (default)" or ARGB, or whatever you're using.

For some reason after I installed 4.7 no Proof profile was selected anymore?

Well, I still have the same problem, every time I start up 4.7 everything is in monochrome
and I have to re-select the default output profile again, it no longer remains the default?
It makes me wonder what else is no longer a default or is not working as expected.

Oh please bring back 3.xx it was so nice and easy to use.

Maybe you could try to solve this by discarding the file that contains all preferences. This is user.config and can be found in:
    C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Phase_One\CaptureOne.exe_Url_...>\4.7.27334.0

Close CO 4.7, delete or remove the file and start CO 4.7 again, check the Proof Profile setting and check again after restart of CO 4.7 to see whether it is persistent.

    Hi Paul,
I tried this but it's exactly the same, everything is in monochrome until I reselect
    the default output profile.

Do you have any other suggestions, perhaps it's worth a reinstall? although that sounds a little over the top, I am at a loss as to what to do otherwise.

Saying that I could just keep on selecting the output profile each time I start C1 pro.

    Thanks in advance,
    Dave...

Was this issue ever fully resolved? I seem to have the same symptoms after upgrading from 4.8.1 to 4.8.2. I'm not certain it is caused by the upgrade, but it did start the first time I used CO after the upgrade.

    Thanks in advance,
    Wilfried.
