Shift-Click not working
For a shortcut, you are supposed to be able to Shift-Click the Primary Variant to deselect the others; Shift-Click does not work for me; does anyone else have the same problem?

Works fine here. Are you sure you didn't change anything in the shortcut editor? 0 -
Not that I am aware of. If I have done so inadvertently, how to I get back to the default? 0 -
Capture One 9 > Edit Keyboard Shortcuts, and select the "Default" set.
Hope this helps...0 -
Done that but doesn't make any difference. I notice you are are using OSX; I'm using Windows 10 64-bit, could that be a difference? 0 -

Mmmh, yes, possibly. Sorry I can't help you much about Windows.
Could a fellow windowsian jump to the rescue here, please? 😊0 -
I believe that shift-click is a mechanism for defining a sequence of selected images, not just for deselecting non-primary selections (although that can be a side-effect in some circumstances).
e.g. if you select one image in the browser, then shift-click the third image to one side of it, then that image and the intervening images would all be added to the selection, with the first image still as the primary selection.
If you then shift-click on a different image, the selected range would extend from the first image to the new image and include all the intervening images.
The range of images that are included in the selection will extend from the first image selected, even if it is no longer the primary selection.
If you shift-click on the first image again, the selected range will just consist of that single image, which does have the effect of deselecting any other images that were selected.
If you then click on an image outside the current selected range without holding shift, that image will become the starting point for subsequent selection ranges.
Note: things can get a bit more complicated if you use Ctrl-Click to toggle the selection of other images, either inside or outside of the selected range of images.
This behaviour is very similar to selecting cells in a spreadsheet.

Thanks Richard,
That's been my understanding of Shift-Click for general use but is this supposed to work to 'Select the Primary Variant Only' under a Windows version of C1 V9.2?
I find many supposed keyboard shortcuts reffered to only apply to Mac OS.0 -
I raised this matter with technical support who confirmed that, at present, Shift-Click, to select the primary variant, only works on Mac OS not Windows where you have to use the menu option. 0
