Maybe look at the possibility to create floating tools?

If you position floating tools in a stack you can move them as one item on the screen.

There is no scrolling in place other than some tools that require additional screen real estate to work.

Of course those lucky enough to have a high res screen may see more open tools.

I suspect a lot of Pro users go for Hotkey fast action changes and don't display any tools at all.

Floating tools are even worse because the stack "doesn't know" where the screen ends.
Yeah the only solution I see as of now is either work in a high resolution screen setup, or using keyboard shortcuts (but there are a lots of tools and therefore a lots of keyboard shortcut to customize and memorize), or setting up custom tooltabs with exactly the right amount of space but that means switching tooltabs more often than Ione would want to.

In fact, the workflow offered by Lightroom (with one giant tooltab and tools open that you can scroll) is so much easier that, even though I prefer to work with Capture One's toolset (because of their quality and efficiency), I end up working in Lightroom anyway because I find the workflow less annoying. Which is kinda stupid actually.

So Phase One, if you can give us an option for a vertical scrolling bar to navigate between all expanded tool in tooltabs, that would be super great !

    Cheers.

If you really want them to take notice of that you need to create a Support Case and name it as an Enhancement Request.

Or take some time to review the workflow.

It was 2 years before I really did that and understood the potential better. And the flexibility.

Having tools openeing and closing in a tab does not worry me but if it did I think I would just create custom tabs and make each tab specific to certain activities that I do regularly an flip between tabs rather than scrolling.

Workspaces might come into that areas of consideration as well.
